Quality Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct stage-wise quality inspections of elevator installations including shaft readiness, guide rails, machine installation, doors, wiring, car assembly, safety devices, testing and commissioning.
• Verify installation quality against approved drawings, specifications and FLUXUS standards.
• Identify defects, deviations and non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Perform regular site safety audits and enforce compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Monitor installation teams for adherence to quality, safety and workmanship standards.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, audits, observations and corrective actions.
• Conduct final quality audits before project handover and customer inspection.
• Coordinate with project engineers, technicians, subcontractors and customers to resolve quality and safety issues.
• Prepare quality reports, safety reports, NCRs and site visit reports.
• Train and guide installation teams on best practices for installation quality and site safety.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework and safety incidents.
• Travel to project sites across the assigned region to conduct inspections and audits.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of elevator installation processes and components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of quality control and inspection methodologies.
• Understanding of construction site safety and work-at-height practices.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring and elevator control systems.
• Strong observation and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in elevator installation, quality control, site supervision or construction quality assurance.
• Experience in the elevator industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Indian safety standards and elevator installation practices preferred.
• Valid driving licence preferred.
