Summarized Purpose:

We are offering an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Sr Engineer, Software Quality Assurance. In this role, you will drive manual testing initiatives, lead a team of engineers, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software products aligned with organizational standards.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 8-10 years of testing experience with team leadership.
• Additional relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance (preferred).

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Lead testing strategy, planning, and execution.
• Mentor and guide team members’ professional development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define quality goals.
• Ensure quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee test planning, execution, and defect management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced proficiency in system testing methodologies and test documentation creation.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing processes.
• Advanced knowledge of test planning, execution, error reporting, and verification procedures.
• Effective project management and organizational skills.
• Experience with API, integration, and data testing.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in deadline-driven environments.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies and software platforms.

Must Have Skills:

• Manual testing leadership experience
• Strong testing and defect management expertise
• Agile methodologies
• Team mentoring and stakeholder communication

Good to Have Skills:

• Exposure to automation frameworks
• DevOps/CI-CD understanding
• Domain knowledge (Healthcare/Compliance preferred)

Working Hours:

• India: 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST
• Philippines: 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PHT
