Job SummaryWe are seeking a knowledgeable, dedicated, and experienced Physics Lecturer to teach students of 1st PUC and 2nd PUC. The lecturer will be responsible for delivering clear and engaging lessons, conducting practical laboratory sessions, preparing students for board and competitive examinations, and maintaining high academic standards.
- Key ResponsibilitiesTeach Physics to 1st PUC and 2nd PUC students according to the prescribed syllabus and academic calendar.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
- Explain Physics concepts, laws, derivations, numerical problems, and applications in a clear and student-friendly manner.
- Conduct Physics laboratory sessions and ensure that students understand experiments, observations, calculations, and safety procedures.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive examinations such as CET, NEET, and JEE, wherever applicable.
- Conduct regular class tests, unit tests, revision sessions, and practice examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts, assignments, laboratory records, and student projects accurately and on time.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and provide remedial classes or individual guidance.
- Monitor students’ academic progress, attendance, discipline, and classroom participation.
- Maintain accurate records of marks, attendance, lesson completion, and student performance.
- Encourage analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, scientific curiosity, and practical application of concepts.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students’ progress professionally.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Academic Coordinator, and other faculty members for curriculum planning and academic activities.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training programmes, workshops, examinations, admissions, and institutional events.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Perform other academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the management.
- Educational QualificationMaster’s degree in Physics, such as M.Sc. Physics, from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. qualification is preferred.
- Candidates with qualifications prescribed by the relevant education board or regulatory authority will be given preference.
- ExperienceMinimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a recognised PU college or similar educational institution is preferred.
- Experience in teaching both 1st PUC and 2nd PUC students is desirable.
- Experience in board examination preparation and competitive examination coaching will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with excellent subject knowledge, teaching ability, and communication skills may also be considered.
- Required SkillsStrong command of Physics concepts and numerical problem-solving.
- Thorough knowledge of the 1st PUC and 2nd PUC Physics syllabus.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
- Good classroom management and student-engagement skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct and supervise laboratory experiments safely.
- Proficiency in using smart boards, presentations, digital teaching tools, and online learning platforms.
- Good organisational, assessment, and record-maintenance skills.
- Patience, professionalism, punctuality, and a student-centred approach.
- Preferred CompetenciesPassion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Ability to motivate students and improve academic performance.
- Willingness to conduct additional classes during examinations when required.
