Role Description
- As Group Audit Quality Assurance VP, you play a key role within Group Audit’s Global Quality Assurance (QA) function. You will shape, support and deliver thematic audit quality assurance reviews, ensuring audits meet professional standards, regulatory expectations and internal methodology requirements across a complex, international organisation. Delivery of traditional QA audit file reviews will also be included in your portfolio.
- You will act as a trusted adviser to senior audit teams and help position QA as a strategic enabler of audit credibility, continuous improvement and regulatory confidence. This is a high impact, global, senior role for an experienced internal auditor who thrives at the intersection of quality, judgement, influence and transformation.

Your key responsibilities
- Plan, support and deliver high‑quality quality assurance reviews (thematic reviews and targeted deep dives), ensuring consistent application of Internal Audit standards, methodology and regulatory expectations.
- Deliver in-depth audit file reviews, applying professional judgement and providing constructive insights and coaching to audit teams.
- Identify meaningful trends, root causes, and opportunities to enhance audit quality, consistency and effectiveness
- Provide constructive insights, and coaching to audit teams across global locations, ensuring actionable outcomes are established and delivered
- Support senior Quality Assurance leaders with methodology enhancements, training activities and change initiatives
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement across the Quality Assurance function
Your skills and experience
- Proven experience within Internal Audit quality assurance or Internal Audit, with a strong understanding of audit methodology, risk and control frameworks – preferably within a large, complex and regulated financial services environment.
- Understanding of professional internal audit standards and regulatory expectations (e.g. IIA Standards, global regulatory frameworks applicable to internal audit functions)
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed audit file reviews with high levels of accuracy and professional scepticism
- Strong analytical capability and sound professional judgement, moving beyond checklist‑based assessment
- Confidence engaging in constructive and, where required, challenging conversations with senior stakeholders
- Experience working collaboratively with global teams across diverse cultures and audit approaches
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate clear, balanced and defensible quality conclusions.
- Change‑oriented mindset, with experience driving continuous improvement, thematic insights, or innovation - preferably within audit or assurance functions.
