Job Title- DevOps Lead, VP

Location- Bangalore, India

Role Description

Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments.

Work includes:

• Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals.
• Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions.
• Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow.
• Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability.
• Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.

Your key responsibilities

• Works as part of an engineering team to improve the overall delivery process.
• Working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Helps enhancing Continuous Integration / Delivery / Monitoring.
• Identifies issues / optimization potentials and implements solutions.
• Liaises with other technical teams, conducting technology research, and evaluating software required for maintaining the development environment.
• The role would ideally suit a passionate technologist, with broad experience across software delivery & technologies with an agile mind-set.

Your skills and experience

• Good understanding of various design and architectural patterns.
• Proficient in Scripting language Js, Shell, Perl, Python or Go.
• Good understanding of Microservices and API Management.
• Good hands-on experience in Java/Python.
• Good exposure to API, UI & Database Automation.
• Experience in supporting/building Continuous Delivery pipelines. 
• Experience with deployment strategies (such as Blue-green, Canary, A/B).
• Experience in monitoring/reporting tools such as New Relic, Grafana/Prometheus etc.
• Proficiency at troubleshooting issues with multi-tier application. 
• Good understanding of Networks.
• Hands on knowledge on market leading SDLC tools.
• Strong hold on managing containerized hosting platform and application.
• Hand on Terraform knowledge.
• Experience in Agile practices.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
