Job Title: Mainframe Developer Designation: Process Lead

Location: Mph-Infinity Park, Mumbai, IN

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with a strong focus on IMS DBA knowledge to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications while ensuring the integrity and performance of the IMS database environment. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and other relevant technologies.
• Manage and maintain IMS databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mainframe applications and IMS databases.
• Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications for future reference.
• Stay updated with the latest mainframe technologies and best practices to continuously improve processes.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Mainframe IMS DBA, including database design, administration, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe programming languages.
• Experience with mainframe tools and utilities for database management.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and database architecture.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with other mainframe technologies such as CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages for automation of database tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies or database administration are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
