Job Description
The purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity, reliability, and quality of data during live fieldwork by conducting continuous quality checks, proactive validations, and early issue detection. The role focuses on minimizing errors at the source through daily monitoring, Personal Back Checks (PBCs), and spot audits, thereby preventing data discrepancies and reducing downstream rework.
By identifying and addressing potential risks in real time, this position plays a critical role in maintaining adherence to research protocols, improving field execution standards, and safeguarding the overall credibility of study outcomes. Ultimately, the role contributes to delivering accurate, high-quality insights and enhancing client trust.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring high standards of data quality during ongoing fieldwork by conducting continuous monitoring, proactive checks, and early issue identification to prevent data errors and maintain study integrity.
- Conduct daily quality checks across all active fieldwork projects to ensure adherence to study protocols and research methodologies.
- Monitor interviewer performance and response patterns.
- Identify inconsistencies, irregularities, or deviations from defined quality standards.
- Perform proactive Personal Back Checks (PBCs) during live fieldwork to validate 1. Respondent authenticity 2.Interview accuracy 3.Data reliability and 4. Target group authentication.
- Ensure that interviews are conducted as per guidelines and ethical standards
- Document findings and escalate discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Identify potential risks or recurring quality issues early in the fieldwork cycle.
- Take corrective actions such as 1- Flagging suspicious interviews 2- recommending rework OR respondent replacement.
- Work closely with project managers, and operations teams to implement preventive actions.
- Provide feedback and guidance to improve field execution quality.
- Support training initiatives based on recurring quality issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Market Research, Business, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in fieldwork quality control, data validation, or survey operations.
- Strong understanding of market research methodologies and field processes.
- Experience in conducting PBCs, spot checks, and quality audits.
- Ability to coach, influence, and hold interviewers accountable.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills for coordination with field teams and stakeholders.
- Computer literacy and accurate keyboard skills.
- Proficiency in local language(s) both written and verbal.
- Thorough understanding of the related NielsenIQ SOPs and field work standards.
