Summary:
As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. This role includes installing database management systems and developing comprehensive procedures to ensure smooth daily operations. The position requires continuous monitoring and troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly, ensuring optimal database performance and reliability. Collaboration with various teams to align database functionality with business requirements is also a key aspect of the daily routine, fostering an environment of efficiency and stability within the data infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices in database management to enhance system performance and security.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand database requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Financials.
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, backup and recovery techniques, and performance tuning.
- Experience with database security management and compliance standards.
- Ability to automate routine database tasks using scripting languages.
- Familiarity with data migration and integration processes.
- Skilled in monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities to maintain database health.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Oracle Financials.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
