Job Description
- Knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Inspect incoming raw materials and bought-out components as per approved quality standards.
- Conduct in-process inspections during core assembly, coil winding, tank fabrication, painting, and final assembly.
- Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using standard measuring instruments.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing procedures.
- Coordinate routine, type, and special testing of transformers as per applicable standards.
- Verify test reports and maintain accurate quality inspection records.
- Identify product defects, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and support preventive action implementation.
- Monitor calibration status of inspection and testing instruments.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Purchase, and Stores departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Support internal audits, customer inspections, and third-party quality audits.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and customer complaint trends and prepare quality performance reports.
- Train production personnel on quality standards, inspection methods, and quality awareness.
- Ensure workplace safety and adherence to company quality policies and procedures.
