Job Description

Relationship Manager - MF

1. Business Acquisition & Group Formation
  • Sourcing & Prospecting: Conducting extensive field visits and market mapping to identify low-income households and prospective entrepreneurs in your assigned geography (e.g., across Chennai, Tamil Nadu).
  • Group Formation: Organizing rural and semi-urban women or entrepreneurs into Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) to facilitate micro-credit lending.
  • Group Training: Conducting Continuous Group Training (CGT) and Group Recognition Tests (GRT) to educate applicants on group dynamics, loan utilization, and repayment terms before disbursement. [1]

2. Loan Processing & Portfolio Management
  • KYC & Verification: Collecting and verifying borrower KYC (Aadhaar, PAN), analyzing income, and determining the repayment capacity of the group. [1, 2]
  • Target Achievement: Meeting monthly targets for loan sourcing, file processing, and total disbursement volume.
  • Cross-Selling: Pitching supplementary financial inclusion products, such as micro-insurance, micro-savings, and micro-pensions, to existing borrowers. [1]

3. Collection & Asset Quality (Delinquency Management)
  • Repayment Collection: Managing weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly EMIs and ensuring regular collections during center meetings.
  • NPA Control: Monitoring accounts, performing early delinquency tracking, and preventing accounts from becoming Non-Performing Assets. [1, 2, 3]

4. Customer Service & Retention
  • Client Retention: Building long-term relationships with clients to ensure they renew their loan cycles.
  • Grievance Redressal: Listening to customer issues, solving basic queries, and escalating complex disputes to the Branch Manager.

5. Compliance & Documentation
  • Audit & Risk: Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure strict adherence to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) microfinance lending norms. [1, 2]
  • Documentation: Properly documenting and depositing cash collections daily, maintaining accurate ledgers, and submitting flawless loan files
