• Extensive knowledge of item rates in C&I and related packages with the ability to accurately assess project costs based on given drawings and requirements for Design & Build projects (D&B).
• Should have good knowledge of BOQ item rates in C&I packages. Accurately derive the project cost based on the given Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documents for General contracting projects (GC)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD to Perform detailed quantity take-off to accurately estimate project costs for Design & Build and general contracting (GC) corporate interior projects.
• Having good work experience in Cost X tool is an added advantage
• Should have good knowledge of various makes and specifications available in the C&I packages to provide accurate pricing information.
• Should align with the company's costing policy and be able to work accordingly.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure cost estimates align with requirements and desired outcomes.
• Provide timely turnarounds on cost estimates based on project requirements, ensuring efficiency. High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines. Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to quickly respond to project requirements and changes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate cost estimates to project stakeholders.
• Proven experience as a Cost Estimator in corporate interior projects, with a strong focus on Design & Build and GC Projects.
• Maintain executed project cost data at various levels for cost reference purposes (cost benchmarking).
• Should be able to perform value engineering, cost variation analysis, rate analysis, etc. depending on project requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure accurate estimations.
• BOQ formulation & standardization is an additional skill that will be looked for.
• Having intermediate design knowledge and sense will be an added advantage.
• Candidates from Architect firms or Design & Build firms are preferred.
