Project Role : Technology Support Engineer
Project Role Description : Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors and help service management teams with issue analysis and resolution.

Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education

Preferably have a working experience of 4 Years plus , on production PostgreSQL and MySQL DBs.
Experience of working in a production support environment. Monitoring database performance
Optimizing Queries and handle escalations
Analyse and assess the impact and risk of low to medium risk changes on high profile production databases
Implement security features, DR implementation and switch over. Must have Skills : Install & Configure PostgreSQL, MySQL Enterprise DB
Technical capabilities PostgreSQL 9.x, 10.x, 11.x
Server tuning, Troubleshooting of Database issues
Linux Shell Scripting
Install, Configure and maintain Fail Over mechanism
Backup - Restoration, Point in time database recovery Good to Have Skills : Experience with other relational databases: Oralce, Aurora, MSSQL.
Experience with Containers, Docker, and Docker Swarm.
Prior experience working in an Agile environment.
Experience with DevOps tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
Exposure and experience with ETL and data warehousing. ITIL Certified Good communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and service management teams to facilitate issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge base articles to support troubleshooting efforts.
- Oversee the implementation of Requests for Change to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing expertise to foster professional growth.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in PostgreSQL.
- Strong experience in database management and performance tuning.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to database systems.
- Familiarity with incident and problem management processes within IT operations.
- Experience in creating and managing Requests for Change and maintaining technical documentation.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
