Job Purpose
The objective of the role is to be responsible for managing and overseeing credit approval process for Large Corporate for entire India. This role involves managing credit team, Recommending, and approving proposals for Borrowers in various Industries/ Sectors, ensuring compliance with internal and RBI policies Supervising and managing portfolio quality, Active monitoring of portfolio, Strategic initiatives on process automations and process efficiencies. To ensure portfolio quality with acceptable credit costs and maintain well-diversified portfolio. Having in depth industry knowledge and regulatory update. Experience in appraisal of various structure funding transaction like NCD, PTC, Promoter level funding etc.

Main Accountabilities
Team Leadership:
•   Lead and manage Team of credit managers to ensure quality of credit portfolio and minimize delinquencies.
•   Supervising productivity of Team. Recruitment of Team Members so as to identify and nurture right talent. 
•   Management of Attrition levels in Team.
•   Provide/Arrange for training and coaching to enhance team's competency and processing efficiency. Self-Training 
•   Collaboration with other Internal and External Teams.  

Portfolio Management and Monitoring 
•   Formulate/ participate in strategic decisions pertaining to Large Corporate so as business objectives related to Yield, PAT, Cost to Income, ROE, and Credit Costs etc are achieved.
•   Identification of Early warning signals to earmark stress accounts and initiation of exit from stress accounts
•   Proactive monitoring of portfolio for control over credit costs.
•   Conduct portfolio reviews with Business and Present reviews with various portfolio cuts to senior management.

Credit Approvals:
•   Carefully analysing/Review of proposals submitted by Credit team and recommending to Relevant authorities/ approving or rejecting basis merits of proposals. Approval related to post sanction related modifications.
•   Ensuring that TAT and Quality of Credit proposals is maintained by Team.
•   Good Market connect within Industry for Regular Feedbacks on Borrowers.
•   Keeping self up to date about various developments on Macro level and Industry specific knowledge

Credit Memo Review:
•   Review of credit memos submitted by team members for recommendation/ approvals.
•   Approve or decline credit applications, considering documentation requests.
•   To ensure that Quality of Credit proposals is up to mark and Risk aspects are adequately covered in note.
•   

Deviations Authorization:
•   Authorize/Approve deviations from credit policies when raised and documented by underwriters, ensuring compliance.

Disbursement Approvals:
•   Approve disbursement requests based on adherence to sanctioned conditions and ensuring appropriate documentation.

Strategic Initiatives/ Credit Program Development:
•   Engage in the development, implementation, review, and monitoring of various credit/product programs to support business growth.
•   Participate actively in adoption of digital processes and automation. 
•   Participate in policy formulations, Development of Scorecards/ Digital processes for process efficiencies.

Travel and Branch Oversight:
•   Extensively travel for Client meetings across allocated territory and to oversee branches.
•   Provide guidance to the team across India and ensure the quality of the portfolio.

Compliance:
•   Ensure strict compliance with all audit, regulatory, and company regulations, processes, policies, and reporting systems.

Vendor Follow-up:
•   Oversee and initiate follow-ups with external vendors to resolve queries, ensure timely report submission, and eliminate delays.

Business Insights:
•   Collaborate with the recoveries team to generate business insights from credit data and portfolio performance.

Qualification : MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/ CA or Equivalent
