About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated engineer with a strong DevOps and DevSecOps background to help drive automation, platform engineering, and secure software delivery initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess excellent Python development skills, an automation-first mindset, and experience implementing scalable CI/CD and infrastructure automation solutions. Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies is desirable but not mandatory.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, implement, and maintain DevOps and DevSecOps practices across development and operational environments.
- Develop automation solutions using Python to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment frameworks, and infrastructure automation capabilities.
- Integrate security controls, vulnerability management, and compliance checks into software delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to enable secure and efficient releases.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational and security processes.
- Contribute to platform engineering initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
- Evaluate and leverage AI-driven capabilities where beneficial to improve automation and operational effectiveness
Essential Skills / Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and application development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong automation mindset with experience automating operational, infrastructure, or security processes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native environments.
- Good understanding of security best practices, vulnerability management, and secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, or AI-assisted automation.
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).\
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.\
- Knowledge of security tooling such as SAST, DAST, SCA, SIEM, or vulnerability management platforms.
