As a Specialists & Strategists Support Lead in the Wealth Management Solutions team, you will be in a player coach role on our Specialists & Strategists teams within Sales & Trading private Banking teams. You will get an opportunity to create an impact via your data analytics, communication, problem solving skills. The Specialists and Investor Relations team seeks to provide comprehensive coverage of our managed solutions (across core and thematic strategies, and different vehicle types - separately managed accounts, mutual funds (J.P. Morgan and 3rd party where offered], and ETFs), in a coordinated way. Additionally, Private Bank (PB) Global Investment Strategy (GIS) team typically acts as the firm’s central “house view” and portfolio guidance function—translating macro/market research into investable, client-ready direction for advisors and clients. 

You will lead an 8–9-person team in Mumbai that supports our Specialists and Strategists by delivering high-impact investor communications, scalable advisor/client content, and responsive coverage across managed solutions—while driving transformation through process excellence, metrics, and adoption of modern AI-enabled workflows. This is a true player-coach role: you will be hands-on on priority deliverables while also developing and retaining talent and scaling a high-performing team. You (VP) will serve as a primary point of contact for the India teams our internal partners and stakeholders. The team is primarily based in Mumbai and interacts with global counterparts based in New York and London.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and deliver transparent, impactful communications (strategy launches, announcements, market/investment commentaries) for internal partners and client-facing teams.
  • Create highly leveraged advisor and client resources; respond to the advisor inquiries; support prospect materials and time-sensitive requests. 
  • Develop strong fluency across managed solutions and how they are used in portfolios, so you can translate market and portfolio manager viewpoints into clear, client-ready narratives and scalable messaging.
  • Partner closely with investment strategy, portfolio construction, and related teams to align priorities, share insights, and improve the end-to-end advisor/client experience. 
  • set direction, raise quality standards, and build a high-performing team—staying close to the work and stepping in on the most complex, visible, and time-sensitive deliverables. Your leadership scope will include:
  • Hire, develop, and retain a diverse team; set clear goals, manage performance, and provide ongoing coaching and career guidance.
  • Drive strong partnerships and crisp, regular status reporting so priorities are aligned, work is understood, and outputs are decision-ready.
  • Provide strategic oversight of team coverage, structure, controls, and resiliency; establish mechanisms and metrics to measure operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistency and efficiency across workflows; identify gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a catalyst for change as priorities shift from planning to execution, collaborating with local and global partners to improve integration, alignment, and end-to-end efficiency.
  • Modernize execution through AI-enabled tools and automation, upskilling the team on modern workflows to improve speed, quality, consistency, and scalability—while exercising strong judgment and discretion with sensitive information.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Education & experience: MBA/CFA (or equivalent) with 11+ years of relevant experience in the investments domain.
  • Markets expertise: Extensive knowledge of global markets and investment solutions; ability to apply this expertise to practical, client-facing outcomes.
  • People leadership: Proven people manager, effective in a matrixed organization and experienced leading dynamic, high-performing teams.
  • Execution & operating rigor: Highly organized, hands-on operator who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple concurrent deliverables, and maintain high standards of quality and timeliness.
  • Stakeholder management: Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with strong awareness of client and partner needs, sensitivities, and expectations.
  • Strategic thinking & communication: Confident, solutions-oriented leader who can think strategically, develop recommendations, and influence business leaders with clear, concise communication.
  • Judgment & discretion: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with superior judgment and integrity.
  • Tools & productivity: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and comfort learning new platforms, systems, and tools.
  • Research tools & workflows: Experience with market data/research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet) and comfort building tool-assisted workflows to improve output quality and consistency.
  • Technology & AI mindset: Demonstrated interest in—and practical adoption of—investment technology and AI tools to scale insights, content, and operational efficiency.
