Job Description

Asst. Manager - Supply Module

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

In the role of Assistant Manager - Supply Module at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will assume a strategic role in managing and optimising the supply chain requirements essential for the Automotive Division’s project success. This position involves meticulous planning and coordination to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials, adhering to critical project timelines.

You will spearhead techno-commercial discussions with suppliers, ensuring the best possible balance of quality, cost, and delivery timelines. By nurturing strong partnerships and employing persistent follow-ups, your efforts will secure reliable supplier performance and prompt issue resolution.

Acting as a crucial interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will clarify supply scopes, work on continuous product quality improvements, and facilitate transparent communication across teams.

Developing Annual Rate Contracts for purchased components will be central to your responsibilities, supported by comprehensive data analysis focused on schedule adherence, reduction of rework, and cost optimisation. Your initiatives will include exploring alternative sourcing strategies, negotiating volume discounts, and promoting indigenisation, thereby directly contributing to the company’s competitive edge.

Furthermore, you will drive quality improvements through implementation of corrective actions in addressing material defects. Leveraging advanced productivity tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), you will lead efforts to enhance operational efficiency without compromising on quality or delivery commitments.

Collaboration across functional teams will underpin your approach, fostering innovation while maintaining supply chain flexibility to meet evolving business needs. Your leadership will stärken Mahindra & Mahindra’s dedication to sustainable manufacturing practices, delivering excellence through diligent supply chain management.
