Senior Software Test Engineer

Key Skills & Experience

• Technical Expertise.

• BE in Electronics / Instrumentation / Electrical / Computer Science 

• Strong expertise in software testing lifecycle (STLC) and quality processes 

• Hands-on experience in functional, reliability, and performance testing 

• Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps (or equivalent), including workflow and process management

• Hands-on experience in Azure Test Plan- to create/ maintain test cases, test report in dashboard for management

• Proven ability in defect analysis and root cause identification 

• Experience with system integration testing (embedded + software systems) 

• Strong scripting skills in Java or C# or Python for test automation 

• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

 

• Domain Knowledge (Preferred)

• Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as: 

  • Modbus, HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Profibus, TCP/IP

• Familiarity with tools/platforms: FDT-DTM, AMS, AMS SNAP-ON

• Additional Advantage:

• ISTQB certification (Foundation or higher)

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Analyze requirements, design test strategies, and prepare detailed test reports 

• Perform end-to-end testing from an end-user perspective 

• Execute and monitor functional, performance, scalability, stress, and load testing 

• Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams for resolution 

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts (both Black and white box) and improve test efficiency 

• Ensure accurate test documentation, traceability, and quality metrics tracking 

• Drive continuous improvements in test processes and quality standards
