We are seeking a Global Security Verification Manager to lead our newly established Global Security Verification team from KONE Technology Center (KTEC) in Chennai, India.

About the role

As Global Security Verification Manager, you will build and lead KONE's global security verification and validation function across our products and digital solutions. Reporting to the Head of Cybersecurity, Products and Applications, you will own the strategy, team, and execution of independent security testing covering security requirements testing, threat mitigation testing, vulnerability testing, penetration testing, and bug bounty.

You will lead a global team with members in Finland, India, China, and the US, and co-operate with other KONE units globally. You will drive an automation-first, AI-assisted approach that reduces manual testing effort while improving security testing coverage and time-to-market.

You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to engage with diverse audiences. You are adept at addressing business needs while also managing technical details when necessary. KONE values of Courage, Customer, Collaboration and Care strike a chord in you.

The position is in Chennai, India.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute KONE's global security verification & validation strategy and roadmap.
• Build and lead the Global Security Verification Team, including hiring and onboarding security test engineers in Finland, India (Pune and Chennai), China, and the US.
• Standardize tools, skills, and reporting across Finland, India, China, and the US; eliminate testing bottlenecks impacting product releases.
• Oversee penetration testing (internal and external), KONE's bug bounty program, and the strategic use of external testing partners.
• Lead the introduction of AI-assisted testing automation, including security requirements automation and defect-mapping dashboards for onsite and digital apps.
• Engage with R&D, IT, Cyber Defense, and product owners to integrate security verification into the KONE Secure Development & Operations (KSDO) lifecycle.
• Represent KONE in customer audits, IEC 62443-4-1 certifications, and where relevant in industry forums.

                                                                                                                                   

Requirements                                                            

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software, or R&D, with 5+ years leading security testing, V&V, or QA teams – ideally for connected industrial, IoT, or safety-related products.
• M.Sc. in computer science, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, or equivalent. Relevant certifications (OSCP, GIAC, ISA/IEC 62443) are a plus.
• Experience in leading geographically distributed teams; previous collaboration across India, Finland, China, and the US is a plus.
• Deep practical knowledge of modern application, cloud, and IoT/hardware security testing approaches, tooling and automation (SAST, DAST, IAST, fuzzing, AI-assisted pen-testing).
• Strong working knowledge of IEC 62443-4-1 (especially the SVV practice area), EU CRA, and applicable global standards.
• Excellent English communication and influencing skills; ability to engage from developer level to senior leadership and customers.
