ROLE SUMMARY (PURPOSE)

 

The Area Sales Manager for Supply Chain Finance will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue targets across the assigned geography. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in expanding the organization’s footprint and ensuring seamless delivery of supply chain finance solutions to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and business development 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the zone.

 

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to onboard corporate clients, channel partners, and distributors.

 

  • Establish long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in the supply chain ecosystem.

 

Strategic leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Relationship officers to achieve and exceed performance objectives.

 

  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain a solid rapport with distribution points, as well as Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their financial and operational needs are met effectively.

 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored supply chain finance solutions.

 

  • Proactively resolve client issues and ensure exceptional service delivery.

 

Analytics and intelligence

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.

 

  • Align zonal sales initiatives with broader organizational goals and market demands.

 

  • Provide actionable insights to product development and marketing teams.

 

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

 

  • Partner with internal teams, including credit, risk, and operations, to ensure smooth loan processing and compliance adherence.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. An MBA is highly desirable.

 

A minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in supply chain finance, corporate banking, or financial services.

 

Demonstrated expertise in driving sales performance and leading high-performing teams.

 

Strong knowledge of supply chain finance products, credit risk assessments, and market dynamics.
