Senior Manager-Production
- He will be responsible to decide & drive the operation strategies, establish Operational Objectives & workplans for Ignition Plant.
- The Production Manager will provide operational expertise and guide the operations team as well as work closely with the HR department to drive people strategy including but not limited to hiring, people development, employee engagement etc.
- The position is expected to have proficiency in driving the plant P&L, Safety Culture, Inventory, Optimization, Best in Class Mindset for Continual Improvement.
- Basic understanding of Regulatory compliances, Global bench marking/teach transfers, JIT production, Quality standards & global maturity models, cost reductions & avoidance.
- He will be overall in-charge for the production functions also he needs to ensure that desired production levels (as per monthly targets) are achieved every month.
- He needs to ensure that monthly machine loading schedule is prepared as per planning and the same is adhered to on a day-to-day basis. & put action plan for reducing scrap and rejection levels & implement the same.
- Resolve issues related to manpower, machinery breakdowns, and production processes promptly.
- Approve leaves and conduct performance appraisals for direct reportees and their teams.
- Maintain safety, quality, and facility management systems on the shop floor.
- Promote harmonious industrial relations and maintain discipline across the production team.
- Drive multi-skilling of operators and de-bottlenecking of critical processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, WIP reduction, and OEE enhancement.
