Senior Engineer - Brake Systems

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Design and development of brake and chassis systems to meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
Perform system-level design calculations and engineering analysis for structural and functional components
Apply vehicle dynamics principles to optimize braking performance, stability, and overall vehicle behavior
Carry out fastener design and validation calculations ensuring joint integrity and durability

Conduct benchmarking studies and cascade system-level targets to subsystem and component levels
Develop and maintain DVP (Design Verification Plan) and perform DFMEA for risk identification and mitigation
Coordinate with CAE teams for design optimization, simulation support, and correlation with test results

Review and approve supplier and in-house engineering drawings in line with design standards
Ensure technical feasibility and manufacturability in collaboration with suppliers
Interface with material management teams for timely development and sourcing of componentsDevelop and execute rig testing plans to validate durability and performance targets
Perform root cause analysis for development and field issues and implement corrective actions
Support continuous improvement through design enhancements and issue resolutionDrive cost and weight reduction initiatives through design optimization and material selection
Perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure proper fit, functionality, and manufacturability across assemblies
