We’re looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect at EY GDS. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering. EY Digital Engineering is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. The Digital Engineering practice works with clients to analyse, formulate, design, mobilize and drive digital transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing digital challenges and opportunities surround business strategy, customer, growth, profit optimization, innovation, technology strategy, and digital transformation.  We also have a unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization.  Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s DE team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.

 

Your key responsibilities

• Strong background in Azure Cloud Platform, with the ability to position and modernize enterprise workloads on Azure
• Ability to design and document end-to-end solution architectures, ensuring alignment with business requirements, scalability, and best practices.
• Experience in preparing comprehensive RFP/RFI responses, including solution recommendations, effort estimation, and technical differentiation.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Well-Architected Framework and cloud design principles including reliability, security, cost optimization, and performance efficiency
• Strong expertise in delivering technical presentations and solution storytelling, effectively communicating complex architecture concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical demonstrations to validate solutions and showcase business value.

 

Skills and attributes for success

• Drive successful cloud adoption and modernization by effectively positioning Azure capabilities and enabling migration or transformation of enterprise workloads with measurable business outcomes
• Achieve a high success rate in winning RFP/RFI opportunities by providing well-structured responses, accurate estimations, and strong technical differentiation
• Ensure all proposed solutions adhere to the Azure Well-Architected Framework, resulting in improved reliability, security posture, performance efficiency, and optimized cost management
• Deliver impactful technical presentations and solution narratives that clearly articulate value, influencing customer decision-making across both technical and business stakeholders
• Successfully create and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demos that validate architectural approaches and demonstrate tangible business benefits to customers
• Build strong customer confidence by translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights, driving engagement, trust, and long-term partnerships

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications.
• Experience: At least 15 Years of experience in a pre-sales role with a focus on Azure technologies.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

 

Education:

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
