Join us as Team Manager – Purchase to Manage procurement of external & internal suppliers required for all types of Customer Orders at a competitive level by driving purchase KPI. To drive continuous process improvement with a performance-driven approach, including the use of Supplier Data Base.

To support implementation and use of local and global processes, tools, and policies within Procurement in own area and in cooperation with Global Supply.

The position / About the Job:

In this job the Team Manager - Purchase would be responsible for:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience in Procurement of Electrical and automation Items like Control Panels, Cables, and Instruments. Bought out items like Pumps, Electric Motors, Filters, Conveyors, Steam Pressure Reducing Stations, Insulation Materials, Agitators, Piping, Fittings, and Raw Materials in grades like SS, Duplex & Super Duplex etc. 
• Responsible for buying an assigned portfolio.
• Experience in handling teams of 4 to 5 members
• Responsible for fulfilling Monthly/ Yearly KPI and Purchase improvement projects for own area.
• Evaluate quotations, select suppliers, negotiate and establish purchase agreements with the help of the Group Leader
• Instrumental in handling supplier business principle & compliance requirement.
• Update & Maintenance of supplier database (Jakamo)
• Monitor and manage supplier performance
• Handle reported supplier non-conformances & being instrumental in the supplier performance monitoring process.
• Responsible for handling yearly costing update activity
• Secure the Best Purchase deal with the Right Price, Right Quality, in Right Time.
• Reporting and evaluation of commercial goals including purchase savings KPI and other PI’s.
• Participation in the continued development of the purchasing functions of the site
• Coordinate procurement matters with other buyer colleagues, network coordinators, supply managers, etc.
• Participate in kick-off meetings when new projects are launched
• Co-ordinate for Delivery, Inspection & related matters of Required items. 
• Support Market Unit during Budgeting of New Projects.
• Handle complicated and unique purchases with a significant economic impact on the actual project budget.
• Travel related to sourcing activities: up to 30 days per year.

What you can be?

Experience & Education:

Education: Bachelor of Mechanical / Electrical engineer. 12-14 years of purchase experience in Project / Machine building industry / Process related machineries.

Skills: English in writing & verbal, strong negotiating skills, financial and legal insight, Updated knowledge on Imports, Exports, GST.

Attitude: Being an open-minded team player, who are persistent, persuasive, very structured and a good communicator that focuses on reaching set goals and results.

Motivation: driven by creating results at the global marketplace in a dynamic, challenging and busy working environment in close cooperation with the engineering department.
