Senior Testing Engineer - Inverter
Job Description: Low and Medium Voltage Inverter Testing Specialist
Position Overview
Bureau Veritas is seeking a skilled Inverter Testing Engineer to join our New Energy team in INDIA, responsible for comprehensive testing and validation of low and medium voltage inverters across various industrial and renewable energy applications. Candidate will be trained in our international laboratories for capability enhancement
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed electrical performance and safety testing of low and medium voltage inverters
- Based on customers’ requirements, develop and implement comprehensive test protocols
- Perform functional, safety, and reliability assessments of inverter systems
- Document test results with precise technical reports
- Analyze performance data and identify potential improvements
- Ensure compliance with international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.)
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams
Technical Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's /master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inverter testing or Design
- Strong understanding of power electronics principles
- Proficiency in electrical measurement techniques
- Background knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 and international standards for inverter testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Power Electronics
- Experience with renewable energy systems, BESS
- Knowledge of semiconductor technologies
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Inverter topologies
- Power conversion systems
- Electrical safety standards
- Test equipment calibration
- Expertise in measurement tools:
- Oscilloscopes
- Power analyzers
- Electrical safety testers
- Grid and Solar Simulator,
- Proficiency in data analysis software
- Familiarity with international electrical standards
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Required Competencies

- Knowledge of semiconductor technologies
Working Conditions
- Base Location – Pune / Noida
- Laboratory and field-testing environments
