Job Description – Safety Lead (Steel Plant)Position: Safety Lead

Location: Mumbai Thane Kalwa

• Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor EHS policies, safety standards, and statutory compliance across the plant.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Lead incident/accident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO, work-at-height, confined space, and hot work procedures.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training for employees and contractors.
• Coordinate emergency response, mock drills, and fire safety activities.
• Drive safety awareness and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
• Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering with a Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety.
• 6–10years of experience in the steel, metals, or heavy manufacturing industry.
• Must have independently managed EHS operations for a workforce of at least 400+ employees at a manufacturing/site location.
• Strong knowledge of statutory safety regulations, ISO 45001, contractor safety, and safety management systems.
