Specialist - System Management
Role Title IBM i Senior System Administrator
Requirement
36 to 60 Months of experience in IBM i IT Infrastructure
Admin and troubleshooting Skills of AS400 Operating System
Operating System general Ops Navigator BRMS Basic Knowledge of CL Programming HMC TCPIP
Experience in IBM i Performance Management
Third Party Tools Power HA ConnectDIRECT OnDemand Report Archiving tool iDoctor PowerLock
Knowledge and experience of OS upgrades
Experience on various IBM i migrations projects
IBM i Securities and Audit
Should possess industry standard certifications for IBM i
Creation of Controllers and Display devices
Creation of Printer devices and Remote Output queues
Creation of Subsystems including Job queue and Routing entries
Adding Communication and Workstation Entries
Deleting obsolete configurations
Performing system IPL
Knowledge of iASP
Knowledge on iCluster and troubleshooting on errors
Knowledge on WAS and MQ applications and provided basic trouble shooting
Installing PTFs Program Temporary Fixes License Keys and Software Licensed Programs
Installation of Third party software upgrades
Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities
Worked in an infrastructure critical environment and understands how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer
Ability to work effectively as a team player
Good Communication and interpersonal skills
Banking domain experience will be added advantage
Experience with standard change incident and problem management process
Willingness to work in 24x7x365 iSeries environment including oncall rotation weekend work etc
Must be able to perform well as a member of a larger team
Ability to establish mutual expectations with clients is required Ensuring that the processes are adhered to
Excellent oral and written communication skills English are critical for success in this job
Must be motivated and able to manage multiple tasks
