Job Title: Online STEM Tutor for U.S. students (Grades 6–12)

About the Role

We’re building a high-quality online tutoring experience for students in Grades 6–12, and we’re looking for exceptional STEM educators who combine strong subject mastery with genuine care for students.

This is not a “homework help” role. We’re looking for teachers who not only love the subject matter, but they love teaching. We want teachers who can diagnose learning gaps quickly, adapt in real-time, and build confidence in students—especially those who may feel stuck or discouraged in a STEM subject.

If you’re the kind of teacher students remember years later for your contagious love for your subject or because you made the subject finally “click,” we want to meet you.

What You’ll Do

• Teach 1:1 online STEM sessions for students in Grades 6–12 (up to AP Calculus BC)
• Quickly assess a student’s current level, identify gaps, and adjust lesson plans on the fly
• Break down complex concepts into simple, intuitive explanations
• Adapt teaching methods to various learning modes (visual, conceptual, procedural, etc.)
• Build strong rapport with students—creating a safe, encouraging learning environment
• Track student progress and provide feedback when needed
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and punctuality in all sessions

• You are patient, kind, and encouraging, especially with struggling learners
• You are able to adapt to both the struggling student as well as to the gifted student to meet their specific needs.
• You know how to explain the same concept in multiple ways until it clicks
• You can quickly identify why a student is confused—not just that they are
• You’re engaging and relatable—you make students feel comfortable asking questions
• You bring energy and clarity to every session, even early mornings or late nights
• You take ownership of student outcomes, not just session delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is a bonus
• Minimum 5 years of teaching or tutoring experience (Grades 6–12 in a STEM subject)
• Excellent spoken English with clear, neutral accent
• Comfortable using online teaching tools (Zoom, digital whiteboards, etc.)

Work Schedule

You must be available for one of the following part-time shifts (consistent schedule required):

• Evening Shift: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM IST
• Late Night Shift: 9:30 PM – 1:30 AM IST
• Early Morning: 1:30 AM - 5:30 AM IST

• Strong diagnostic teaching ability (identify and fix gaps fast)
• Flexibility in teaching approach—no one-size-fits-all instruction
• Consistent reliability and professionalism

Nice to Have

• Experience teaching international or U.S.-based students
• Background in multi-modal teaching
