Job Description
- Laboratory Maintenance
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, workstations, and premises.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Dispose of laboratory waste as per safety guidelines.
- Sample Handling
- Assist in receiving, labeling, and transporting samples within the laboratory.
- Arrange and store samples as instructed by laboratory personnel.
- Support sample dispatch activities when required.
- Material & Inventory Management
- Arrange laboratory consumables, chemicals, glassware, and other supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor about shortages.
- Assist in unloading and storing incoming materials.
- Equipment Assistance
- Help in setting up laboratory equipment for testing activities.
- Ensure equipment and accessories are kept in designated locations.
- Report any damage or malfunction to the concerned staff.
- Documentation & Support
- Carry files, reports, and samples between departments.
- Assist laboratory staff with basic administrative tasks.
- Maintain records related to sample movement, if assigned.
- Safety Compliance
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and wear prescribed PPE.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Immediately report accidents, spills, or unsafe conditions.
