Position: Child Physiotherapist (Pediatric Physiotherapist)
Department: Therapy Services
Location: Origin Child Development Center, Santoshnagar, Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
About Origin Child Development CenterOrigin Child Development Center (Origin CDC) is a multidisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation center dedicated to providing evidence-based intervention for children with developmental delays, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, genetic disorders, and other special needs. Our team comprises Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Therapists, Special Educators, Psychologists, and Pediatric Physiotherapists who work collaboratively to help every child achieve their fullest potential.
Job SummaryThe Child Physiotherapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physiotherapy programs for infants, children, and adolescents with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and musculoskeletal conditions. The therapist will work closely with families and the multidisciplinary team to improve children's gross motor skills, mobility, posture, balance, strength, coordination, and functional independence through evidence-based, child-friendly interventions. - Key ResponsibilitiesClinical ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments using standardized pediatric assessment tools.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's clinical needs and developmental goals.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions using play-based and functional approaches.
- Improve gross motor development including rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, running, jumping, and balance.
- Treat children with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Cerebral Palsy
- Down Syndrome
- Developmental Delay
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Genetic Disorders
- Neurological Conditions
- Orthopedic Conditions
- Perform gait training, posture correction, strengthening exercises, stretching, balance and coordination training, and functional mobility exercises.
- Prescribe and educate families regarding home exercise programs.
- DocumentationMaintain accurate assessment reports and therapy notes.
- Prepare progress reports and discharge summaries.
- Ensure documentation complies with organizational policies and professional standards.
- Parent & Caregiver EducationEducate parents regarding therapy goals and home programs.
- Demonstrate exercises and positioning techniques.
- Counsel families regarding developmental milestones and functional improvement.
- Encourage caregiver participation during therapy sessions.
- Multidisciplinary CollaborationWork collaboratively with:
- Occupational Therapists
- Speech-Language Pathologists
- Behavior Therapists
- Special Educators
- Clinical Psychologists
- Pediatricians
- Participate in case discussions and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- Quality & Professional DevelopmentFollow ethical and professional standards.
- Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in clinical meetings, training programs, and continuing professional development.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the center.
- QualificationsBachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) – Mandatory
- Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Pediatrics/Neurology – Preferred
- Valid State Physiotherapy Council Registration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage children through play-based therapy.
- Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills.
- Team-oriented with a compassionate and child-friendly approach.
- Fluency in any two languages among English, Hindi, and Telugu is preferred.
