What you will do
Network Project Managers will manage internal or external projects to deliver expansion of Colt technical sites (Nodes, LDN cans), fibre infrastructure and network build rollouts (layer 1/2/3 platforms) with specific emphasis on a future-proof design, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with right level of quality, using project management methodology and company standard processes.
What we're looking for
Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Delivering complex infrastructure and network engineering projects, effectively managing resources and risks to meet project deadlines.
• Leading project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities ensuring that comprehensive programme, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained.
• Ensuring all key PM documentation is developed and maintained, including PID, Project Plan, Risk and Issues register, weekly reports, stakeholder reports, Lessons learned etc.
• Reviewing and approving associated project plans for conformance to programme strategy and programme plan.
• Leveraging Network Analytics to enhance data-driven decision making, identifying opportunities to enhance program management processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Acting as the communications conduit to executive sponsors and programme steering committee and conducting periodic briefings/status updates.
• Escalating decisions to executive sponsors/programme director as necessary.
• Ensuring that cross-project work effort remains feasible from a business standpoint and realises benefits.
