Jewellery CAD Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Jewellery CAD Designer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in creating precise and detailed 3D models of jewellery using Rhino or Matrix. This role is a crucial link between design and production, requiring a strong understanding of both CAD software and the practicalities of jewellery manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Create accurate and high-quality 3D CAD models from a variety of sources, including technical drawings, sketches, and physical reference pieces.
• Develop new jewellery designs based on a few reference images, using your creative judgment to fill in details and finalize a cohesive design.
• Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are optimized for production, considering factors like material usage, stone setting, and finishing techniques.
• Prepare files for various manufacturing processes, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and casting.
• Review and revise CAD models based on feedback from senior designers or the production team to ensure they meet quality and manufacturing standards.
• Maintain a well-organized library of CAD files and design assets.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Jewellery CAD Designer, specifically with Rhino or Matrix.
• In-depth knowledge of jewellery fabrication and manufacturing processes, including casting, finishing, and stone setting.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your work from concept to final CAD model.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for proportion, aesthetics, and design.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in other design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator,Zbrush) is a plus.
