Accountant

Role Overview: The Accountant & Taxation Assistant will assist in day-to-day accounting operations, GST and TDS compliance, income tax return preparation, and audit support. The ideal candidate must have a sound understanding of accounting principles, taxation laws, and practical experience with accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally / Excel.
• Record journal entries, sales, purchases, expenses, and bank transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and vendor/customer account reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable with proper documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
• Assist in TDS calculation, payment, and return filing (Form 26Q, 24Q).
• Support in Income Tax return filing for individuals, proprietorships, and companies.
• Maintain tax records, challans, and ensure statutory compliance timelines.
• Coordinate with senior tax consultants during audits and assessments.
