Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
I. Business Development & Lead Generation:
Market Penetration: Identify and tap into new market segments, including commercial and
industrial (C&I) clients, hospitals, and IT parks.
Cold Calling & Field Visits: Conduct daily market visits (e.g., meeting retail counters/dealers)
and cold call prospective commercial customers to generate leads.
Institutional & Tenders: Manage relationships with corporate clients and assist in bidding for
government/private solar tenders.
II. Sales Execution & Customer Consultation:
Site Surveys & Feasibility: Conduct preliminary site surveys to recommend appropriate system
capacities (e.g., kW sizing) based on the customer's electrical load requirements.
Proposal Delivery: Prepare and present customized quotations, pricing models, and financial
returns (ROI) for solar projects.
Deal Closure: Negotiate commercial terms, address objections, and finalize contracts.
III. Forecasting, Strategy & Reporting:
Target Achievement: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to hit monthly, quarterly, and
annual regional targets.
Sales Tracking: Track all leads, site visits, and sales activities using the company's Customer
Relationship Management (CRM) or sales application.
Market Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and analyze sales data to adjust strategies and
report regional forecasts to senior management.
• Project Execution & Engineering Oversight: Oversee the complete lifecycle of solar projects
(rooftop, C&I, or utility-scale) from site surveys and design to construction and final
commissioning.
• Regulatory Compliance & Government Liaison: Navigate local power-market policies and
ensure all installations and grid-tied operations align with state or national regulatory frameworks.
• Team Leadership & Safety: Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams of sales staff while
enforcing strict safety norms.
