Cash Counter Executive / Hotel Cashier

Job Summary

The Cash Counter Executive is responsible for handling guest billing, cash transactions, card payments, and maintaining accurate financial records at the hotel cash counter. The role requires excellent customer service, accuracy, and basic computer knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle guest billing and payment transactions.
• Accept cash, card, UPI, and online payments.
• Generate bills and receipts using POS software.
• Maintain daily cash balance and prepare reports.
• Ensure proper cash handling and avoid shortages/excess.
• Assist guests with billing-related queries politely.
• Coordinate with front office, restaurant, and accounts department.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cash counter.
• Follow hotel policies and financial procedures.
• Prepare end-of-day cash closing reports.

Required Skills

• Ability to work in shifts

Qualification

• HSC / Graduate preferred
• Experience in hotel, restaurant, or retail cashier work is an advantage
• 1-2 year’s Experience

Working Conditions

• Rotational shifts
• Standing for long hours may be required
• Fast-paced hotel environment
