Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using AutoCAD and PTC Creo.
• Create detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Manage product development activities, including design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Develop and improve jigs and fixtures to reduce cycle time and enhance product quality.
• Work closely with the Production and Design & Development (D&D) teams to ensure smooth product implementation.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
• Prepare and evaluate material samples for product development.
• Define manufacturing process guidelines to achieve optimum functionality and quality standards.
• Possess a good understanding of CNC and VMC machines, machining operations, and production planning.
• Select and recommend appropriate cutting tools for manufacturing operations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and production engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and PTC Creo for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Good understanding of CNC/VMC machining processes and manufacturing operations.
• Experience in product development, prototyping, and testing.
• Knowledge of jig and fixture design.
• Familiarity with cutting tools and machining parameters.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Creative thinking with the ability to conceptualize and develop innovative mechanical designs.
