Position Summary:
We are seeking a polished and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our guests. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing the check-in and check-out process, handling reservations, and ensuring every guest leaves with a positive impression of our property. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Guest Check-In/Out: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, efficiently process check-ins and check-outs, and assign rooms according to guest preferences and availability.
- Reservations Management: Handle room bookings via phone, email, and online travel agencies (OTAs) such as Booking.com or Expedia. Process modifications and cancellations accurately.
- Payment Processing: Collect payments, process credit card transactions, handle cash, and manage guest folios/bills with precision.
- Concierge Services: Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, and transportation. Arrange tours, dinner reservations, or taxi services upon request.
- Guest Relations: Anticipate guest needs, handle complaints or issues with patience and professionalism, and escalate complex problems to management when necessary.
- Communication: Operate the hotel switchboard, transfer calls, take messages, and relay information promptly to housekeeping, maintenance, or other departments.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate guest records in the Property Management System (PMS), manage guest mail/packages, and ensure the front desk area remains clean and organized.
- Security: Verify guest identification, issue room keys, and follow hotel safety and emergency protocols to ensure guest and staff security.
