Junior Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality 2D drawings, plans, and detailed layouts using AutoCAD.
• Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and fabrication drawings from design inputs.
• Interpret engineering/architectural drawings, sketches, and specifications to produce accurate deliverables.
• Modify and update drawings based on review comments, site changes, and redlines.
• Maintain drafting standards: layers, line weights, title blocks, templates, and documentation accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams to resolve design and detailing queries.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Manage and organize drawing files, versions, and revision logs with proper naming and control.
• Assist with site measurements, surveys, and verification as required; reflect changes in drawings.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and documentation.
• Solid understanding of engineering drawings, symbols, and industry standards.
• Strong grasp of dimensions, tolerances, scales, and layout best practices.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Basic familiarity with 3D tools (e.g., Revit, Plant 3D) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.

Preferred/Good to Have

• Exposure to as-built modeling and/or industrial project environments.
• Familiarity with laser scan data and point clouds (optional).
• Working knowledge of Revit or other 3D design software.

Experience

• 0–1 year of relevant drafting experience (internships and project work considered).

Software Proficiency

• AutoCAD (required).
• Revit and other 3D software (preferred/optional).

Work Environment

• Office-based role with occasional site visits for measurements and verification.
• Close coordination with multidisciplinary project teams.
