Job Description
- Guest Room CleaningClean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Make beds and change bed linens.
- Replace used towels and replenish fresh towels.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all room surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, toilets, showers, and wash basins.
- Replenish guest amenities such as toiletries, tea/coffee supplies, bottled water, and stationery.
- Check room equipment such as lights, air conditioning, TV, telephone, and minibar, and report any defects.
- Public Area CleaningMaintain cleanliness of lobbies, corridors, staircases, elevators, and reception areas.
- Clean restaurants, banquet halls, meeting rooms, and public restrooms.
- Keep outdoor areas, entrances, and walkways neat and presentable.
- Linen & LaundryCollect and sort soiled linen.
- Distribute clean linen to guest rooms.
- Maintain linen inventory.
- Report damaged or stained linen.
- Coordinate with the laundry department when required.
- Maintenance ReportingReport maintenance issues such as leaking taps, faulty electrical fittings, broken furniture, or damaged fixtures.
- Follow up to ensure repairs are completed.
- Guest ServiceRespond courteously to guest requests.
- Deliver extra pillows, blankets, towels, or amenities.
- Respect guest privacy and follow "Do Not Disturb" procedures.
- Handle lost-and-found items according to hotel policy.
- Hygiene & SafetyFollow hotel cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
- Wear proper uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow fire safety and emergency procedures.
- Dispose of waste in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Inventory ControlMaintain housekeeping supplies and cleaning equipment.
- Report shortages of cleaning materials and guest supplies.
- Ensure housekeeping carts are organized and fully stocked.
- Security ResponsibilitiesEnsure guest room doors are properly secured after cleaning.
- Report suspicious activities immediately.
- Protect guest belongings and maintain confidentiality.
- Daily Administrative DutiesAttend daily briefings.
- Update room status (Vacant, Occupied, Dirty, Clean, Out of Order).
- Complete assigned rooms within the required time.
- Record completed work and communicate with supervisors.
