Production / Manufacturing Head

1. Daily Responsibilities (Shop Floor Operations)Conduct daily morning meetings with management communicate daily production targets, review previous day performance, discuss quality concerns, and reinforce safety protocols.

Regularly monitor the production floor to ensure smooth work flow, optimal machine utilization, and adherence to production schedules.

Allocate manpower effectively and adjust manufacturing schedules based on production demand, absenteeism, urgency of orders, and workload balancing.

Perform periodic quality inspections and ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), work instructions, and quality standards are followed to minimize rejections and wastage as per ISO Standards.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, workplace cleanliness, and shop floor discipline.

2. Monthly Planning & Strategic OperationsCoordinate with management to analyze customer orders and forecast monthly production requirements.

Evaluate labor availability, machine capacity, tooling requirements, and raw material inventory to ensure production targets can be achieved efficiently.

Prepare material planning and coordinate for timely ordering and availability of raw materials and consumables.

Drive process improvements through productivity enhancement activities, cycle-time reduction, work flow optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.

3. Dispatching & Logistics CoordinationPrepare and monitor dispatch schedules based on customer commitments, urgency, and production completion status.

Coordinate with stores, dispatch teams, and logistics partners to ensure smooth movement of finished goods.

Monitor finished goods inventory and coordinate with production and dispatch teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

4. Maintenance & Workforce ManagementCoordinate scheduled preventive maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime and improve equipment efficiency.

Identify training needs and conduct periodic sessions for operators and supervisors to improve operational skills and productivity.

Review operator and shop floor team performance periodically and provide guidance for continuous improvement.

Coordinate effectively with Quality, Production, Accounts, Stores, Purchase, and Management teams for smooth operations.
