Area Sales Officer

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets for Tubes & Pipes segment.

Identify and acquire new customers in construction, infrastructure, engineering, fabrication, oil & gas, and related industries.

Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure repeat business.

Generate inquiries, prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close deals.

Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies.

Coordinate with production, logistics, and accounts teams for smooth order execution.

Ensure timely collections of payments as per credit policy.

Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the company’s brand.

Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to management.

Lead, mentor, and support the sales team (if applicable).

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of steel industry, especially Tubes & Pipes (MS, GI, ERW, Seamless, SS, etc.).

Proven sales and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to analyse market opportunities and convert them into business.

Self-motivated and target-oriented.

Proficiency in MS Office / ERP systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Metallurgy preferred) or MBA in Marketing.

Minimum 2–5 years of sales experience in Iron & Steel Existing client base and strong industry network will be an added advantage.
