Job Description



  • Core ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales
  • Greet incoming customers with a welcoming and positive attitude.
  • Answer questions about products, prices, promotions, and store policies.
  • Offer personalized product recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Cross-sell and upsell products to help meet daily or weekly store sales goals.
  • Checkout & Transactions
  • Operate the cash register or POS (Point of Sale) system smoothly.
  • Process cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payment transactions accurately.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and store credit transactions per company policy.
  • Store Operations & Merchandising
  • Restock shelves, displays, and racks to ensure products are always available.
  • Maintain clean and organized aisles, fitting rooms, and counter areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts, receiving shipments, and tagging/pricing new stock.
  • Prevent loss by staying attentive on the sales floor.
  • Typical Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: High school diploma or GED preferred; entry-level positions often require no prior experience (1–2 years in retail/customer service is a plus).
  • Communication Skills: Clear, friendly verbal communication and strong active listening skills.
  • Basic Math: Ability to process transactions, count change, and handle cash accurately.
  • Physical Stamina: Comfort with standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting boxes (usually 20–30 lbs).
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holiday shifts.
