Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update daily accounting transactions in the accounting system (sales, purchases, billing, receipts, payments, journal entries).
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements, vendor statements, and customer accounts.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and aging reports.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, Billing debit/credit notes, and expense claims.
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation of all financial records.
- Support auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant tax laws (GST/VAT/TDS, etc., depending on region).
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors/customers for financial clarifications.
