Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for acquiring new clients, generating revenue, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting the company's investment and wealth management offerings. The ideal candidate should possess strong relationship-building skills, sales expertise, and a passion for financial markets and wealth creation.



Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Revenue Generation

  • Generate new business opportunities through direct sales, referrals, digital leads, and networking activities.
  • Acquire retail, HNI, corporate, and SME clients for the company's financial products and services.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
  • Convert prospects into active clients through effective relationship building and solution-based selling.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Understand client investment objectives and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for assigned clients.

Product Promotion

Promote and cross-sell:

  • Investment Advisory Services
  • Corporate & Government Bonds
  • Mutual Funds
  • PMS & AIF Products
  • Equity Research Subscriptions
  • Wealth Management Solutions
  • Insurance and other financial products, where applicable

Channel Partner Development

  • Identify, onboard, and manage channel partners, referral partners, and franchise associates.
  • Develop relationships with Chartered Accountants, Wealth Managers, Insurance Advisors, and Financial Consultants.
  • Conduct partner engagement and training activities.
  • Drive revenue through partner networks.

Market Development

  • Conduct investor awareness seminars, webinars, and educational events.
  • Participate in exhibitions, networking forums, and corporate presentations.
  • Execute local market expansion strategies.

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, and business activities in CRM.
  • Track sales pipeline, conversions, and revenue generation.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to management.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA (Marketing/Finance) will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in financial services sales, wealth management, banking, insurance, broking, or investment advisory.
  • Proven track record in business development and client acquisition.



Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of financial markets and investment products.
  • Knowledge of Mutual Funds, Bonds, Equities, PMS, AIF, and Wealth Management solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tracking tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Relationship-building mindset.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience in wealth management, banking, broking, insurance, or investment advisory organizations.
  • Existing network of investors, professionals, or business owners.
  • Strong local market knowledge.
  • Ability to generate business through direct sales and partner channels.



Compensation

CTC: ₹5,00,000 per annum + Attractive Performance-Based Incentives
