About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and financial processes, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, including journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Perform bank, vendor, and customer account reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments, expense reimbursements, and employee reimbursements.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare GST, TDS, and other statutory returns, ensuring timely compliance with applicable regulations.
• Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor queries.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate records of receipts and payments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for financial documentation and issue resolution.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally ERP, Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA Inter, CMA, or other relevant accounting certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in a startup or technology company is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
