Steward

Job Summary

The Steward is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests by ensuring timely order taking, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering a pleasant dining experience while following company service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Present menus and explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
• Take customer orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly as per service standards.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to requests and resolving minor concerns.
• Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
• Assist in table setup before service and closing duties after service.
• Handle bills and collect payments when required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Ensure proper handling of crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
• Report any customer complaints or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor.
