Job Description

  • Research current and upcoming fashion trends, colors, fabrics, prints, and market demands.
  • Develop creative concepts for seasonal and ongoing collections.
  • Create hand sketches, technical drawings, and digital design illustrations.
  • Design garments, prints, embroidery concepts, and fabric patterns as per business requirements.
  • Select appropriate fabrics, trims, accessories, and other materials for product development.
  • Coordinate with the Production, Merchandising, and Sampling teams to ensure smooth product development.
  • Monitor sample development, conduct fittings, and recommend necessary design improvements.
  • Ensure all designs meet quality standards, cost targets, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare design specifications and maintain accurate design documentation.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify new design opportunities.
  • Visit factories, vendors, exhibitions, and markets whenever required for design development and quality evaluation.
  • Perform local travel for factory visits and other official business purposes.
  • Support management with new product development and special design projects.
