Job Description
Job SummaryAn Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in industrial, commercial, or residential environments. The role ensures all electrical operations comply with safety standards and operational requirements.
- Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform corrective maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical panels, motors, transformers, generators, and control systems.
- Test electrical systems using measuring and diagnostic tools.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Assist in commissioning and startup of electrical equipment.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians during maintenance and installation activities.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize downtime.
