Job Description

Store In charge

 

Job Summary:

The Store Incharge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring the smooth running of all activities, maintaining inventory levels, managing staff, and providing excellent customer service. The role also involves ensuring that the store operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining high standards of stock, customer service, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management:

·      Oversee stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of inventory.

·      Perform regular stock audits and checks to maintain inventory accuracy.

·      Ensure proper documentation and records of stock movements.

·      Coordinate with suppliers for order placements and deliveries.

  1. Sales and Customer Service:

·      Maximize sales by ensuring that all customer needs are met and customer service is exceptional.

·      Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.

·      Ensure proper product display and cleanliness of the store.

  1. Team Leadership and Supervision:

·      Supervise and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and maintain operational standards.

·      Organize staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.

·      Provide training to staff on store policies, customer service, and product knowledge.

  1. Operational Efficiency:

·      Monitor and manage daily store operations including opening, closing, and cash handling procedures.

·      Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health guidelines.

·      Maintain accurate records of financial transactions such as sales, cash handling, and banking.

 

  1. Reporting and Documentation:

·      Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to management, detailing sales, stock levels, and other key performance metrics.

·      Ensure all operational data, stock reports, and inventory records are updated regularly.

  1. Merchandising:

·      Ensure that products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner.

·      Implement promotions and discounts as per company guidelines.

  1. Vendor Management:

·      Coordinate with vendors for timely stock deliveries and manage supplier relationships.

·      Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in store management or retail supervision.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and POS systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
