Job Description – Field Supervisor (Power Distribution)

- Management Consulting – Advisory services across power generation, transmission, distribution, regulations, strategy, and utility performance improvement.
- Enterprise SaaS – Digital solutions including power portfolio management, generation planning, and algorithmic trading.
Position: Field Supervisor – Power Distribution
Role Overview
The Field Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and supervising RDSS power distribution projects through regular site visits across Rajasthan. The role focuses on ensuring quality execution, compliance with technical specifications, timely project progress, and effective coordination with DISCOMs, contractors, and other stakeholders.
The incumbent will also identify project risks, support issue resolution, and contribute to successful project delivery within timelines.
- Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality and progress of RDSS distribution works.
- Ensure compliance with approved technical specifications, GTPs, drawings, and design standards.
- Supervise field execution and ensure adherence to project quality and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with DISCOMs, EPC/Turnkey contractors, implementing agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor the availability and movement of project materials to support uninterrupted execution.
- Assist in the preparation and review of DPRs and technical documentation.
- Maintain project MIS, field records, and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports.
- Identify implementation challenges and recommend corrective actions in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Participate in review meetings with government agencies and internal teams.
- Support project closure activities and ensure timely completion of assigned milestones.
- Required SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience in the power distribution sector.
- Strong understanding of power distribution infrastructure and execution practices.
- Knowledge of technical specifications and quality compliance for electrical distribution materials.
- Experience in field quality inspections and third-party monitoring.
- Familiarity with Government power sector schemes such as:
- RDSS
- IPDS
- DDUGJY
- RGGVY
- Saubhagya
- R-APDRP
- Good coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel extensively across project locations.
- Educational Qualification - BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognised university.
- Experience- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in power distribution projects.
- Preferred Candidate ProfileExperience working with DISCOMs, utilities, EPC contractors, or consulting organisations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in field environments.
- Open to extensive travel across Rajasthan and other locations in India as required.
Location Rajasthan (Jodhpur DISCOM districts) with travel across India as per project requirements.
