Job Description
Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Receive digital order lists on a smartphone or warehouse device and quickly locate grocery items from the store shelves.
- Order Packing: Securely wrap and pack products (veggies, milk, snacks) in bags according to safety and quality guidelines to prevent damage.
- Speed Maintenance: Work quickly to meet Zepto's signature 10-minute delivery goal, ensuring orders are handed over to delivery riders within minutes.
- Inventory Control: Assist with stock updates, label printing, loading/unloading delivery trucks, and organizing dark store shelves.
Eligibility & Core Requirements
- Education: Minimum 10th pass (some locations accept applicants below 10th standard).
- Age Limit: Generally between 18 to 30 years old.
- Documents Needed: Original Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, active Bank Account passbook/cheque, and a basic resume.
- Language & Tech: Basic capability to read product names in English and comfortably use a smartphone app.
Salary & Work Shifts
- Monthly Earnings: The average monthly income ranges from ₹18,000 to ₹25,000. This consists of a fixed base salary (typically around ₹14,000 to ₹16,000) combined with dynamic performance incentives.
- Bonuses: Offers include a ₹1,000 attendance bonus, a ₹1,000 joining/referral bonus, and monthly performance rewards up to ₹4,000. [1, 2]
- Extra Benefits: Standard payroll setups come with Provident Fund (PF) and Employee State Insurance (ESI) coverage.
- Work Shifts: Operates on a 6-day work week with rotational 9-hour shifts. The common time frames are:
- Morning Shift: 06:00 AM – 03:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 03:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 08:00
